HANNAH ELISABETH ROSS

Hannah Ross started piano study at the age of five, violin at nine, and viola at fourteen.  She has studied with Byung-Kook Kwak, Alejandro Mendoza, Anastasia Solberg and Si-Nae Shim, graduating from the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college in June 2008. Hannah has attended the Interlochen Summer Music Camp, the Amati and Summit Music Festivals and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.  She has been the recipient of the Diane Danese Flagello Scholarship, two Surdna Foundation grants and three grants from the Children's Foundation for the Arts.  Hannah earned first alternate in the concerto competition at Manhattan School of Music Pre-college and was chosen as a semi-finalist for the Sphinx Competition in December 2007. Hannah is currently in her junior year at the Juilliard School, where she studies with Heidi Castleman and Hsin-Yun Huang.
