Katherine Greene holds
a Masters Degree in performance from The Julliard School
where she studied with Mr. William Lincer (former Principal
Violist of the New York Philharmonic). Over the years Ms.
Greene has held various positions, including that of
Assistant Principal Violist of the New Jersey Symphony
Orchestra until 1990, at which time she became a member of
the New York Philharmonic. Ms. Greene has performed with
the New York City and Santa Fe Opera companies, and
regularly takes part in studio recordings for film and
television scores. In 1996 Ms. Greene participated in
several concerts in honor of the 50th Anniversary
of the founding of the United Nations, which included an
historic Peace Concert in Geneva, with an orchestra of
musicians selected from all over the world conducted by the
late Sir Georg Solti.
